Covenant Presbyterian Church Builds its 17th Habitat for Humanity Home

At the home's completion, members of the Buckhead church will honor Bill Roberts, who has coordinated Covenant's Habitat work for 14 years.

Members of Covenant Presbyterian Church are once again coming together with hammers, saws and drills to help build their 17th Habitat for Humanity home. This year, the congregation of the 90-year-old Buckhead church is partnering with members of Atlanta First United Methodist, Brookhaven United Methodist, Impact Church, Oglethorpe Presbyterian, St. James United Methodist, St. John United Methodist, St. Martin in the Field Episcopal, Welcome All Baptist, and West Mitchell Christian Methodist Episcopal churches. The house on Perkerson Rd. in southwest Atlanta, is being built for a mother and her two daughters. At the completion of the home, scheduled for June 24, Covenant Presbyterian will honor member Bill Roberts, who has participated in Habitat Home builds for a quarter of a century, and coordinated the church’s partnership with Habitat for the past 14 years. Roberts will “pass the hammer” to Covenant’s Anthony Rosian.
