Crime Wave Strikes Buckhead Neighborhood
Some arrests have been made, police say, but other criminals are still working the area.
Residents in a community just off of Insterstate 75 in Buckhead are concerned about a rash of crimes that has developed in recent weeks.
WSB-TV reports that eight robberies, a carjacking, and several assaults have been reported along Defoor Avenue. One of the crimes involved two women getting robbed at gunpoint inside a parking lot.
Atlanta police tell the station that they have arrested some of the criminals, but others have eluded capture.
