Crown & Caliber Continues Support of MAP International With ‘Buying Time Movement’

Dr. Julien Ake, MAP International’s country director for Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire, spoke about the global Christian health organization when he visited with the staff of Buckhead-based Crown & Caliber in August.

At that time, Crown & Caliber Founder & CEO Hamilton Powell also presented a donation to Dr. Ake to continue the local company’s support of MAP International’s work to save lives and develop healthier families and communities.

Crown & Caliber’s “Buying Time Movement” supports MAP International’s efforts to meet the needs of disadvantage children in South American and Africa. With each watch Crown & Caliber purchases, the company makes a donation to MAP and “buys time” for 12 children by providing them with essential medical treatments, such as deworming treatments, dehydration-based treatments, and antibiotics.

Crown & Caliber has donated to MAP International since purchasing its first watch in January 2012. Donations are sent each month, and Crown and Caliber has purchased more than 100,000 Z-paks for children in third world countries with its donations.
