Disbarred Buckhead Lawyer Still Owes Clients Thousands
Charges against the attorney have been dismissed, but he has yet to pay back some of his former clients, reports say.
A Buckhead lawyer who was disbarred after allegedly stealing money from clients still owes other clients up to $300,000, WSB-TV says.
Donald Lee Jones was arrested for theft of client funds, but the charges were later dropped after he promised to repay the money. However, Jones was recently disbarred by the Georgia Supreme Court for similar accusations; WSB-TV reports that Jones cleaned out his trust account and disappeared with his clients’ money.
