Dog Days Atlanta Hosts Halloween Bash and Doggy Costume Contest to Benefit Buckhead Christian Ministries

At Dog Days’ annual Halloween bash, the four-legged party-goers donned costumes ranging from Dorothy and the Scarecrow to a lion to a buckin’ bronco. One German Shepard was even dressed as a cowboy! Their two-legged companions had a great time snapping pictures and feasting on tacos from Yumbii. Dog Days, Atlanta’s original doggy daycare, Thursday hosted its annual Halloween dog costume contest. The event benefitted Buckhead Christian Ministries (BCM), a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance to individuals and families of all backgrounds and faiths. The event raised $1,040.00

“I’m so honored that our clients and fellow members of the small business community continue to come out year after year for our annual Halloween costume contest and party,” said Lee Johnson, owner of Dog Days. “This year, we have made an even greater commitment to support causes in our local Atlanta community and are thrilled to be able to give back to Buckhead Christian Ministries. Thank you to everybody who came out and supported us in this venture.”

Taking home the top prize were Tommy and Glenda who came dressed as Dorothy and Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz. These adorable beagles belong to The Waltons and are regular Dog Days visitors.
