ATLANTA, GA -- David Eisenhower, grandson of general and President Dwight D. Eisenhower, will present a lecture at Lovett on Wednesday, March 30, at 6:00 pm in the Hendrix-Chenault Theater. I
n his lecture, "Dwight Eisenhower: Leadership and Character in Challenging Times," Eisenhower will reflect on his grandfather's managerial and leadership accomplishments and challenges in World War II and in the Presidency.
Eisenhower is an historian and the Director of the Institute for Public Service at the Annenberg Public Policy Center. He serves as a senior research fellow at the University of Pennsylvaniaβs Annenberg School of Communication and is a fellow in the International Relations Department at the University.

Eisenhower graduated from Amherst College in 1970. After serving three years in the United States Navy as an officer aboard the guided missile cruiser ALBANY in 1976, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Law Center at George Washington University.
Eisenhower is the author of Eisenhower: At War, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in history in 1986. Time magazine named it one of the five best nonfiction books of 1986. His most recent book, co-authored with wife Julie Nixon Eisenhower, is Going Home to Glory, which chronicles the post-Presidency years of his grandfather.
