Creative Portraiture

For kids in grades 9-11.  In this class, students will use portraiture as a medium to express their creativity, identity, and self-expression. In addition to learning the basics of traditional portraiture, students will create portraits of themselves, friends, and family through inspiration from many different sources and mediums, including a “Portrait from the Past,” inspired by genealogy, a zodiac self-portrait, a mosaic portrait, and more! Students will complete the course with four or more portraits to bring home.
