Donald Bogle, a national authority on African-Americans in film, will host a special parent presentation in celebration of Black Heritage Month. The evening will provide a visual journey through Black Hollywood, examining stereotypes and shining a light on the often shadowed contributions of African-American actors and actresses throughout the years.
Bogle was raised in Philadelphia and is currently a teacher at The University of Pennsylvania and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is a frequent lecturer on media images and African American performers at colleges, museums, and libraries around the country. He has appeared on several television programs including Good Morning America, The Charlie Rose Show, and Nightline.
