Catherine Moore teaches students how to use sequential images (also known as comics) to tell a story. Kids in grades 6-8 will use their favorite comics and cartoons as examples, students will learn about rising and falling action, delivering punch lines, sequencing pictures, and, of course, drawing imaginative characters. This class will help students with verbal and written storytelling skills as well as give them drawing practice with a variety of media. Students will finish this class with a three-page comic book, complete with cover, along with character development drawings.
