Liquid Abstraction

James Elkins says “Painting is liquid thinking,” In this painting class taught by Maggie Davis will explore the potential of abstraction through water based media on paper, canvas or other surface of choice. Emphasizing the effects of color, we will consider a variety of paint applications that respect the happy accident. This class will help expand your thinking about painting and the ways in which one can make a painting. Some experience helpful but not necessary. $5 materials fee will be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
