Learn to identify trees in this workshop. Many birders miss opportunities to see birds as they struggle to find the tree that a bird is perched on or foraging in.
Join Chris Showalter, Fernbank Science Center’s resident ornithologist, for a morning of tree identification. Chris will conduct a short lecture and then take to the field at Blue Heron Nature Preserve. Learn tips and techniques to identification during months when trees are leafed out. Participants will receive a copy of Peterson’s Field Guide to Eastern Trees as a part of the workshop.
