Family Law Attorney Rebecca Crumrine Rieder Named To Legal Elite and Super Lawyers Top Lists
Recent awards highlight her position as one of the top family law attorneys in Georgia

Family law attorney Rebecca Crumrine Rieder, a founding partner of Hedgepeth, Heredia & Rieder in Atlanta, recently received multiple legal recognitions, highlighting her position as one of the top family law attorneys in Georgia.
- Rieder was included in Georgia Trend’s 14th Annual “Legal Elite” listing in the area of Family Law for the fifth time.
- She was recognized as a Georgia “Super Lawyer” for the seventh year in a row by Atlanta magazine.
- She was also recognized for a third consecutive year in Atlanta magazine’s Georgia Super Lawyers “Top 100” list. Rieder is one of only 20 women in that group.
- She has been included in Atlanta magazine’s Georgia Super Lawyers “Top 50 Women” list for the seventh year in a row.
The Georgia Trend Legal Elite listing allows attorneys to recognize their peers for excellence and is open to lawyers throughout Georgia in fourteen practice areas. Attorneys are not allowed to vote for themselves, and may only vote for members of their own firm if they cast an equal or greater number of votes outside their firms. The listings are determined solely by lawyers’ votes. The list appeared in the December 2016 issue of Georgia Trend.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The list of Georgia honorees appears in the March 2017 issue of Atlanta magazine.
Crumrine Rieder practices in all areas of family law, including divorce and separation. She is currently the chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Additional honors, recognitions and community service include:
- Granted a fellowship from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, one of only about 40 attorneys in Georgia to achieve this qualification

Prior to practicing law, Crumrine Rieder taught middle and high school at Davidson Fine Arts School in Augusta, Georgia.
Crumrine Rieder received her undergraduate degree from the University of the South in 1991, her MEd from the University of Georgia in 1994, and her JD degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2001.
She is a member of the Leadership DeKalb class of 2012, and volunteers for Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation as a Pro Bono Guardian ad Litem for families in need. Crumrine Rieder also serves as vice-chair of the board for the Dekalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She lives with her husband Doug in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.
