The fire broke out in the front right corrner of the business, starting in either a storage area or the bar areas besides a stairwall, said Capt. Al Adkins, who had been among those battling the fire. He said he would be going back into the business to determine the exact location of where the fire began.

Todd Weaver of Brookhaven, a friend of the bar owners, said he was in the area and saw "flames shooting up in the edge of the bar." He tried to put it out himself but "the fire was more than I could deal with, so I called the Fire Department immediately."
