Since March, drivers who come up to the intersection of Nancy Creek and Ridgewood Roads have had to navigate an above-ground sewer line sitting directly in the roadway. Drivers have been forced to wait to make turns and even to go straight through the intersection because the pipe restricts the free flow of traffic. Residents complained for months, but the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management allegedly dragged their heels on the matter.

Following an investigation by 11 Alive News, the department has promised to begin work on returning the sewer line beneath the roadway within the next week.
