Former Atlanta Firefighter's Facebook Post Causes Scare

Police responded to the perceived threat by posting patrol cars outside several fire stations on Tuesday.

A former Atlanta firefighter caused a security scare after posting a possiblyΒ threatening message on his Facebook page.

Ronald Ashley Lane resigned from the department on Monday, citing the city’s alleged unwillingness to invest in the well-being of firefighters, WSB-TV reports. On Tuesday, Lane made a post on his Facebook page which featured a picture of a gun and claimed that he had β€˜unfinished business’ to complete before he could move on with his life.

Police took the post as a threat and responded appropriately, posting police cars at several Atlanta Fire Rescue stations, WSB-TV says.
