Fulton County’s Adamsville Workforce Development Career Center will host a Marta Mobility Driver Recruitment on Monday, September 15, 2014. The recruitment for part-time drivers begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m. The Mondayrecruitment also includes a partnership between MARTA and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta to identify qualified part-time mobility drivers. The Adamsville Career Center is located within the Adamsville Regional Health Center located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Atlanta, GA.

- Provides sensitive, courteous, considerate, dependable and compassionate service to all individuals with disabilities who are eligible to use Mobility service. Promotes goodwill for the Authority through efficient courteous service.
- Maintains a good general knowledge of the service area, landmarks, medical and health care facilities, important office buildings and other commonly traveled destinations.
- Maintains a clean, well-groomed professional appearance while on duty and exhibits a pleasant attitude toward the customer, the Authority and fellow employees at all times under every circumstance. Must wear and maintain the prescribed MARTA Mobility Operators uniform.
- Must be knowledgeable of and strictly obey the Mobility Operator’s Manual of Instructions, Operating Rules and Discipline Codes.
- Assists Mobility passengers requiring physical assistance to enter and exit the vehicles and guide them to their seat and or destination.
Required Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos and reports. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Licenses and Registrations

- Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver’s license.
Special Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a stable job history and satisfactory employment references.
- Employees must have the ability to arrive at work on time to permit maintenance of schedules. Must possess the ability to read maps for pick-up and drop off locations.
- Must pass the required customer service assessment tests.
- MARTA is a Drug Free Workplace. Participation in MARTA’s Drug & Alcohol Program is a condition of employment. Failure to adhere to MARTA’s Drug & Alcohol Program will result in termination. Every MARTA employee is responsible for reading and observing the requirements of the Drug & Alcohol policy. This position has been identified as SAFETY SENSITIVE.
