Fulton Sheriff Addresses Buckhead Business Association

Fulton Sheriff Ted Jackson told members of the Buckhead Business Association Thursday morning that the county jail remains overcrowded with younger and younger inmates, but a clear chain of command now runs his department with better precision.

"You're all in business, and you know you can't do anything without a structure," Jackson told the BBA during its Thursday networking breakfast at the City Club of Buckhead.

"When I took office two years ago, the issues facing us were a lot more traumatic that I anticipated. But we've made a lot of improvements since then, and we've created a very simple structure so officers know who their supervisors are and know the chain of command."
