Georgia Tech Phi Delta Theta Alumni Inducted into 2016 Hall of Fame
Georgia Tech alums Fuller Callaway, Jr., Edward Stamps, IV, and Charles Yates inducted into Phi Delta Theta Georgia Alumni Hall of Fame.

The Phi Delta Theta alumni clubs (http://georgiaphidelts.weebly.com/) and undergraduate chapters throughout Georgia have announced the 2016 Phi Delta Theta Georgia Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees. Among the inductees are three Georgia Tech Alumni.
Textile manufacturer and philanthropist Fuller E. Callaway, Jr. (Georgia Tech β24), noted amateur golfer, Atlanta businessman, and civic leader Charles R. Yates (Georgia Tech β32), and Summit Partners co-founder Edward R. Stamps, IV (Georgia Tech β63), will be recognized throughout the month at various Founders Day celebrations across the state. These events will be hosted by undergraduate chapters at University of Georgia, Mercer University, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, and the Atlanta, Macon and Savannah alumni clubs.
βPhi Delts have been a vital part of Georgiaβs history since establishing the Oglethorpe College chapter in 1871. Among its ranks you find governors, college presidents, soldiers, clergy, actors, business owners, CEOs and much more,β said Richard T. Orr, Phi Delta Theta Province President. βThe Hall of Fame is a way to appreciate these men for their many accomplishments.β

Also being inducted are U.S. District Court judge William A. Bootle, (Mercer β21), Georgia Governor George D. Busbee (UGA β48), Managing Director, Brunner Inc. and Phi Delta Theta General Council President Rich Fabritius, (Kent State β94), G.I. Bill co-author Rufus C. Harris (Mercer β15), USB Senior Vice President Michael R. Sanders (Georgia Southern β78), Actor Otis B. βSonnyβ Shroyer (UGA β57), H. Stockton Atlanta founder Hamilton Stockton, Jr. (UGA β51), Capricorn Records co-founder Alan Walden (Mercer University 2014), and retired SunTrust Banks CEO James Williams (Emory β52).
βThese alumni serve as role models to the undergraduate chapters,β said Michael Sterling, current Georgia Tech chapter president. βThese alumni with connections to the state of Georgia have all made a significant impact professionally and or civically and it is important that they are recognized for their accomplishments β especially those who graduated from Georgia Tech.β

Established in 2015, the Hall of Fame selection committee includes the current presidents from each of the undergraduate and alumni chapters. Past inductees include Sam Nunn (Georgia Tech β57), William βBillyβ Porter Payne (UGA β66), Jean Mori (Georgia Tech β55), and Budge Huskey (Mercer β78).
