Griswolds in Atlanta Filming New "Vacation" Movie

The latest installment in the film franchise features a grown-up Rusty Griswold taking his family to Walley World.

Movie cameras in Atlanta are rolling for the newest installment of the “Vacation” franchise, which began in 1983 with the misadventures of Clark Griswold and his family’s memorably disastrous trip to Walley World.

This time, nearly 20 years after the last ”Vacation” movie, Clark’s son Rusty is in charge of the vacation, a return to the storied amusement park that caused the Griswold clan some memorable headaches during their 1983 vacation.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold, Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Rusty Griswold will be portrayed by Ed Helms, of ”The Hangover” fame. His wife will be played by Christina Applegate. Rusty’s sister Audrey will be played by Leslie Mann, celebrated comedic actress.
