A Guide to Live Nativities in Atlanta

Travel back in time to the night of our Savior's birth with one of the many live nativity productions in Atlanta.

It can be easy to get caught up in the trimmings and trappings of the holidays. The gift buying and giving, the baking, the wrapping. But at the heart of the season is the birth of the baby Jesus. Several Atlanta area churches put on elaborate live nativity productions. Others have simple celebrations. Most of the events are free, some ask for donations. Church members and guests can walk through ancient Roman marketplaces, kids can pet the camels or donkeys, and hear the angels sing. Afterward the Christmas story, sip on hot chocolate and homemade cookies. The events begin the first weekend in December and run through Christmas eve. Field Trips with Sue family travel blog has a complete list of live nativities around Atlanta.
