Credit Card Info of Home Depot Customers May Have Been Stolen
The home improvement chain has not commented on the number of stores affected or what stores were affected, but confirmed an investigation.

Atlanta-based home improvement giant The Home Depot is working with authorities on minimizing the damage caused by an alleged breach of security that led hackers to obtain the personal information of shoppers, The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
Krebs on Security has announced that batches of customers’ credit card information were released on an underground website that specializes in the buying and selling of personal information. Krebs believes the hackers may be Russians and Ukrainians and may be responsible for similar security breaches at Target and P.F. Chang’’s.
The Home Depot has not commented on the number of customers who may be affected by the breach, nor have they announced what stores may have been targeted. The company has confirmed that it is working with law enforcement and financial authorities to investigate the allegations of a breach.
