House Panel Approves New Congressional Map
Buckhead would be split among two districts under the plan
A Georgia House committee has approved a new congressional district map that removes areas of Buckhead from U.S. Rep. John Lewis' 5th District, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Buckhead state Rep. Edward Lindsey responded to Lewis' objections to the new district setup, which gives incumbent Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey's 11th District a significant portion of Buckhead, the newspaper reported.
