Legislative Maps Win Final Approval

The Georgia Legislature gave final approval Tuesday to new district maps for the Georgia House and Senate, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said. The Republican reapportionment plan now goes to Gov. Nathan Deal for his signature.

The legislation extends state into Buckhead, and extends further into Buckhead. It also places Democratic into a district with Democratic incumbent Shelia Jones.
