Lenbrook Names Patricia Nelson Director of Nursing
Lenbrook, an accredited retirement community with a Medicare-certified health center, has named Patricia Nelson Director of Nursing.

Lenbrook, Atlanta’s only nationally accredited continuing care retirement community with a 5-star Medicare-certified health center, has named Patricia Nelson Director of Nursing.
Nelson is responsible for the provision of high quality care and staff training for Lenbrook’s full-service health center, walk-in clinic and personal care suites. “I’m honored to be a part of Lenbrook and its legacy of excellent service to residents,” said Nelson. “Our health center’s staffing level for licensed nurses is nearly twice that of the state and national averages. This commitment to quality is a large part of what enables Lenbrook to maintain its national CARF-CCAC accreditation and 5-star rating from Medicare year after year,” she added.
A third-generation nurse, Nelson comes to Lenbrook with extensive nursing and clinical operations experience. She served as a clinical manager at the Atlanta Shepherd Center’s catastrophic care hospital for eight years before becoming director of nursing for Golden Living Center, a long-term rehabilitation service facility in Atlanta. She also held the position of registered staff nurse in DeKalb Medical Hospital’s long-term acute and special care unit.
In addition, Nelson served as a field clinician for Guardian Home Care and a compliance auditor for Visiting Nurse Health System, one of the largest providers of home health care in Atlanta.
“Patricia brings strong nursing and business management skills to Lenbrook along with a true passion for serving older adults,” said Chris Keysor, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lenbrook. “She shares our dedication to enriching the lives of our residents by enabling them to live independently as long as possible.”
Nelson began her nursing career after earning a bachelor’s degree in science and logistics from Alabama A&M University, an associate degree in nursing from Bishop State College and serving seven years in the Army National Guard. She returned to Alabama A&M University to obtain her master’s degree in nursing science and then earned a master’s degree in business administration from Western Governors University.
