Lovett Athletes Make College Choices
Soccer players Allison Bond and Virginia Seiler and thrower Edward Brentnall to compete at next level
soccer players Allison Bond and Virginia Seiler and thrower Edward Brentnall signed with colleges Wednesday on National Signing Day.
Bond and Seiler, long committed to Samford and Ole Miss, respectively, signed with those schools. Brentnall, a 14-year Lovett student, will continue his athletic career at Manhattan College, where he will also continue in chorus, according to a Lovett release on its Web site.
Both Bond and Seiler are four-year starters. Bond, primarily a midfielder, and Seiler, a central defender, played key roles in Lovett's state finalist teams in 2008 and 2009.

An All-American thrower, Brentnall competes nationally for his track and field club in shot put, discus, hammer, weight and javelin. He has been named All-American 14 times for performances with his track club. At Manhattan College in New York, he will continue his choral career, which he's pursued in Lovett's Fine Arts Department.
Lions football standout Zach Boden, the school's all-time leading rusher, is still deciding on his college.
