Man Killed by Train in Buckhead

A man was killed on Tuesday afternoon when he was hit by a train just off of Lenox Road.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the Norfolk Southern train was traveling from Chamblee to East Point when a man stepped onto the tracks. The engineer blew his horn and began slowing the train down, but the man did not leave the tracks and the train was unable to stop in time.

Police remained on scene for several hours collecting evidence, FOX 5 said. The station did not give the man’s name, but said he was a Buckhead resident in his 30s.
