🌱 Man Shot In Home Invasion + The Rounds To Expand In Atlanta

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Buckhead.

Hello, everybody! I'm back with your new edition of the Buckhead Daily. Here's all the local news you need to know right now.

First, today's weather:

A p.m. t-storm in spots. High: 92 Low: 75.

Here are the top three stories in Buckhead today:

  1. A Georgia man was shot during a home invasion in a gated community in Sandy Springs on the morning of Jul. 4 — just one week after Buckhead City Committee CEO Bill White spoke about Atlanta's crime surge on "Fox & Friends First." The Sandy Springs Police Department said that when the suspects saw the man, they shot him. Sgt. Matt McGinnis, SSPD's public information officer, said he is "thankful" because the incident could have "gone much different." (Fox News)
  2. Atlanta Brewing Company, Georgia's first craft brewery, is relocating to the Downtown district later this year. The company will transform the old Atlanta Visitors Center on Upper Alabama Street into an indoor/outdoor taproom, brewery, and restaurant. Shaneel Lalani, CEO of Lalani Ventures, said, "Our goal is to transform Underground Atlanta ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and we look forward to sharing more details about our plans soon." (Reporters Newspapers)
  3. The Rounds, a zero-waste refill and delivery service, will be opening across the Atlanta metro throughout early July, said General Manager Edward Sun. The service works with members shopping online from more than 120+ products on the website and Rounds teams, on e-bikes, deliver the products, in reusable containers and canvas bags, during their weekly rounds. Co-founder Alexander Torrey said that Atlanta had a record launch, showing the company that the city is ready for The Rounds. (Reporter Newspapers)
