Man Struck, Injured by Truck in Buckhead Hit-And-Run

The man's wife and two children, plus the family dog, were also struck by the vehicle but were uninjured.

Several members of a Buckhead family were struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking on a local sidewalk on Sunday afternoon, WSB-TV said.

According to the station, Amer Rathore and his wife, three children, and the family dog were taking a walk along Old Ivy Road a block away from Roswell Road when a black Chevrolet pickup truck with a ladder in the cab flew around the curve, hit the family, and fled the scene.

Rathore told WSB-TV that he was thrown into the air by the impact and suffered bruises to his ribs, chest, and leg. Miraculously, two of Rathore’s three children, Rathore’s wife, and the family dog were also hit in some way by the truck or its ladder but suffered no injuries.
