Even the Mayor of Atlanta isn’t immune from punishment for illegally parking a vehicle.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Mayor Kasim Reed’s security team accompanied him to a Thursday lunch outing, but the driver of the black GMC Denali made a boo-boo when he or she parked the SUV just a bit too far onto the sidewalk.

Accordingly, a private parking company saw the infraction and put restraining boots on the vehicle. Everything Georgia saw the booted SUV and tweeted a photo of the scene on Thursday. The mayor would have gotten a ticket, too, were it not for the fact that the Denali is officially a police vehicle.
A city spokeswoman told the AJC that Reed will ensure that the incident is not repeated.
