Merrill Lynch Named Michael Nies Regional Managing Director
Nies to Serve as Regional Managing Director for the Southeast Region of the Private Banking & Investment Group
Michael Nies has been named regional managing director for the Southeast Region of the Private Banking & Investment Group (PBIG). He reports to Division Executive Eric Schimpf, and both are based in Atlanta.
Mike has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, including nine years with the firm. His leadership with Global Corporate & Institutional Advisory Services (GCIAS) and experience with the Private Banking & Wealth Management group at Credit Suisse make him an excellent choice for this role. Mike will remain the market executive for the GCIAS team based in Atlanta.
Mike lives in Atlanta with his wife, Christina. His son serves as an active duty officer in the United States Marine Corps flying AH1Z attack helicopters, and his daughter is pursuing her master’s degree at Columbia University.
