Motorist Shot on I-85 Northbound Tuesday Morning

The man was taken to Grady Hospital but refused to talk about the incident in Buckhead.

A man is at Grady Memorial Hospital after being shot multiple times while driving his car on a Buckhead-area interstate Tuesday morning.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the man was driving a silver car along Interstate 85 northbound near Piedmont Road when a person or group of people fired as many as 20 shots at him. Authorities were quickly notified and officers were dispatched to the car’s location.

The AJC says that officers discovered the car parked alongside the median with its airbags deployed. Inside, officers found a 30-year-old man who had been struck by gunfire. Police told the AJC that the man suffered at least 10 gunshot wounds. Officers found a pistol under the man’s right foot.
