Here are the top 3 stories today in Buckhead:

  1. On Monday, organizers of the Music Midtown festival announced its cancellation this year. Now, other states are offering their event spaces to host the long-running festival although there's been no confirmation of the festival relocating. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper was just one notable person to invite the festival via Twitter to relocate. According to officials, the festival was allegedly canceled in the first place due to Georgia's new state gun legislation which allows firearms in public spaces. Stay tuned to see if Music Midtown does find a new home. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. Controversy persists in Fulton County as Trump supporters campaign to recall District Attorney Fani Willis due to her investigation into Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. According to Yahoo! News sources, his supporters are seeking donors to fund the campaign. The recall campaign was made public this week after a Buckhead resident tweeted in support of the efforts. 3. With the start of a new school year, many parents in the region voice concerns for their students and have called for school administration members to handle key issues. Parents are concerned about bullying due to socioeconomic differences, too much or not enough inclusion, and a need for monitoring on school buses. (Savannah Now)
