Mygrant to Return as Interim Principal of North Atlanta High School
Tentative plans are for Mygrant to return as principal for three months, after which a new principal is expected to be hired.

Long-time Principal will return to lead the school on an interim basis, as the search continues for a new leader, Atlanta Public Schools announced Monday, via their blog Talk Up APS.
Mygrant will still formally retire this month, but will return a month after his retirement to lead preparations for the start of classes for the new school year on August 6. He will also be instrumental in continuing plans for the relocation of the school’s students, faculty and staff to their , scheduled for the start of the 2013-14 school year.

The search for a new leader for North Atlanta High School will continue to include participation by parents and members of the local community and APS officials are hopeful the process will be concluded by late summer.

The road to finding a new principal for NAHS has not been an easy one for APS. Recently, after receiving a better offer from his current employer in Brooklyn, N.Y. Parents also expressed concerned that the board considered hiring former Riverwood International Charter School principal , who resigned from that school last fall and is now charged with stealing nearly $25,000 in school funds.
