🌱 New Houses On The Market + Second The James Room Location

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Buckhead.

Hello all. It's me, Carla Varner, your host of the Buckhead Daily — back in your inbox with all the most important things happening locally.

First, today's weather:

A shower and thunderstorm. High: 85 Low: 72.

Here are the top three stories in Buckhead today:

  1. Five new houses have been listed for sale in the Buckhead area. Homes available range from a 696 sq. ft., 1 bed, 1 bath for $215,000 to a $1.2 million home with 4 beds, 4.5 baths, and 3,800 sq. ft. (Buckhead Patch)
  2. An increase in crimes in wealthy Buckhead enclaves has put the push for cityhood back on the table. Multiple shootings and other crimes in the past two weeks reignited Buckhead's campaign seeking secession from Atlanta. (Washington Examiner)
  3. A second location of The James Room is opening at Buckhead Village later this summer. The new restaurant will be open for dinner Wednesdays through Sundays on the third floor of 3009 Peachtree Street NE. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
