Nonprofit Awards Grants to Buckhead Greenscape Projects
Organizations in Fulton and DeKalb counties will receiving matching grant funds totaling $800,00 to improve local parks.

Four Buckhead organizations dedicated to the creation and maintenance of parks in the area are getting some financial support from an Atlanta nonprofit, BuckheadView has learned.
Park Pride, which has been supporting Atlanta’s greenspace for over 25 years, has awarded minimum $50,000 matching grants to Livable Buckhead, the Peachtree Heights East Neighborhood Association, and the Atlanta Memorial Park Conservancy, according to BuckheadView. The Friends of Blue Heron Nature Preserve also received a grant with a value of anywhere between $2,500 to $50,000.
Livable Buckhead, which has been the driving force behind the PATH400 project, was given a $100,000 grant to help continue the ambitious walking and biking trail project. The Peachtree Heights East Neighborhood Association received a grant to continue restoration work at Duck Pond Park, while the Atlanta Memorial Park Conservancy plans to raise $50,000 to match its $50,000 grant meant to restore the passive greenspace at Atlanta Memorial Park.

The grants by Park Pride are part of it’s most generous grant cycle in history, BuckheadVIew reports. The nonprofit has handed out over $3 million to parks and greenspace groups since 2004.
