Noted United Nations Clergyman, Rev. Mark Koenig, to Preach at Covenant Presbyterian Church May 3
Rev. Mark Koenig, director of the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations in New York, will preach at 11 a.m.
Rev. Mark Koenig, director of the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations in New York, will preach and teach at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Buckhead on Sunday, May 3. He will teach the adult Sunday School class at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel and will preach at the regular worship service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. The church is located at 2461 Peachtree Road, and all are welcome.
Rev. Koenig came to the United Nations after three decades of serving Presbyterian congregations, the Presbytery of the Western Reserve and the General Assembly Mission Council. He has worked as a staff member and coordinator of the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, and will be in Atlanta as the keynote speaker at the Presbyterian Peacemaking and World Mission Conference, Eyewitness to Peacemaking on Saturday, May 2 at North Decatur Presbyterian Church.

About Covenant Presbyterian Church
For nearly a century, Covenant Presbyterian Church has served the city of Atlanta through its mission of “Equipping the people of God to serve Christ in the world”. The church is a member of Presbyterian Church (USA) and is led by Dr. Ernie Hess, senior pastor, and Dr. Jill Ulrici, associate pastor. Covenant Presbyterian Church opened its doors in downtown Atlanta in 1904 as Harris Presbyterian Church. Twenty years later, the church community moved to its present location at 2461 Peachtree Road in Buckhead, where it holds Sunday morning and evening worship services.
Today, Covenant is home to a welcoming congregation that seeks, serves and celebrates together. Covenant also takes a leadership role in the LaGonave Haiti Partners, a more than 20-year partnership with the Episcopal Church of Haiti.
