Obituary: Louise Brooks Ivy, 94

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Brooks Ivy, 94, of Buckhead, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19, 2013.

Mrs. Ivy died Sept. 25. She was born in Madisonville, KY, on Sept. 11, 1920.

She worked for many many years as the bookkeeper at NAPA Auto Parts in Madisonville, KY. After retiring three times, the Ivys moved to be with the rest of their family in Atlanta. Mrs. Ivy then began to work part time at their residence, Campbell-Stone Apts. After retiring for the fifth and final time, Louise could usually be found playing bridge with her friends, or playing with her best friend, Muffin, who is her Pomeranian.

Mrs. Ivy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Fern E. Ivy, and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Rogers Ivy. She is survived by her son, Dennis Ivy of Atlanta, granddaughter, Erica Ivy Newsome, great-grandson, Brian Newsome, and great-granddaughter, Alanna Newsome of Duluth, GA.

 Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19, in the Chapel at Campbell-Stone in Buckhead -2911 Pharr Court South, NW, Atlanta, GA 30305.
