Oprah's New Movie Filming in Buckhead

ATLANTA, GA — Oprah Winfrey is filming her latest movie, “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," in Buckhead.

Winfrey portrays Deborah Lacks, according to the AJC, in the HBO movie project.

The movie is based on a book of the same title by Rebecca Skloot, and tells the story of Henrietta Lacks, whose cancer cells were harvested and used to create an immortal cell line for scientific information.

Winfrey was spotted last weekend shopping at the Buckhead Whole Foods.
