Piedmont Healthcare Announces Interim Leadership Roles

Patrick Battey, M.D., chair of Piedmont Healthcare’s Board of Directors, has been named interim chief executive officer for the Atlanta-based health system. Dr. Battey has been a vascular surgeon at Piedmont since 1985 and has served in many leadership roles, including chair of Piedmont Hospital’s Board of Directors and president of the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital medical staff.

Piedmont’s President of Finance and Development Greg Hurst has been named interim president and chief operating officer, responsible for all health system operations. Hurst has been with Piedmont since 2000 and has nearly 30 years experience in healthcare management.
