BIBB COUNTY, GA -- Some local deputies came to the aid of a 9-year-old boy who was being bullied because his tennis shoes were falling apart.
Adam Flowers’ grandmother, 63-year-old Carolyn Taylor, saw several teenagers picking on the boy on his apartment’s playground, reports The Macon Telegraph. A 16-year-old girl even put Adam in a headlock while she teased him.

Taylor called the police on the teens, and as Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy Trinicholas Carswell began looking into the matter, she happened to see Adam’s shoes.
After Carswell learned what size shoes the boy wore, she and Deputies Jeff Howell and Tim Jones returned a few hours later with a brand-new pair of Nike Air Jordans.

It didn’t take Adam long to toss the old shoes. Hopefully, he’s now the envy of his playground.
