Atlanta police are looking for a suspect they believe shot another man in the leg outside Lenox Square Mall Sunday night in the course of an argument over a woman.

An Atlanta police report identifies the shooting victim as Christopher Merriweather, who was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital following the 6:51 p.m. shooting outside Macy’s. The police report says that Merriweather and the suspect got into a fight over a woman he met on Instagram. Merriweather told police that the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several times before Merriweather had a chance to draw his weapon.
The suspect was seen getting into a silver or gray pickup truck driven by a white female and left the scene, the report says. A witness was able to give responding officers the name of the suspect, but police have not yet taken him into custody.
