PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of National Bank of Commerce, continues its growth and expansion with the creation of a new position and the addition of a new team member. Veteran mortgage banker Dixon Sewell has been named Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, with responsibility for Georgia mortgage operations.
“Dixon’s extensive skillset and experience are a natural addition to our continuously growing business,” says Dan Smith, President of PrivatePlus. “His expertise in leadership, sales, operations, and strategic financial decision making will play a crucial role in helping to manage and grow the services we offer to our clients.”
Sewell has worked in the mortgage industry for more than 30 years, last serving as Builder & Private Mortgage Banking Area Manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he majored in Finance and Banking.

He and his wife have two daughters at the University of Georgia and a son in high school. Outside of work, Sewell considers any day spent boating or fishing out on the water with family to be a perfect day. He also enjoys cycling, snow skiing, SEC sports and watching his son play lacrosse. The family lives in Roswell with the newest addition to their family, a Black Lab puppy named Mack.
