PrivatePlus Mortgage Welcomes Rick Williams as VP and Mortgage Banker

PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, has named Rick Williams as a Vice President and Mortgage Banker. He served eight years in the United States Army and holds a certificate in Business Management from the University of Maryland.

“Rick’s military experience is a great advantage to his position,” says Dan Smith, President of Private Plus. “As a veteran, he is an expert with VA loans, utilizing his personal experience, he is able to assist returning service members and their families on their path to homeownership.”

Williams was stationed in Germany for three years and came to Atlanta as the final stop of his service. “As a Chicago native, the first thing that I fell in love with was the weather,” he says, adding, “in Illinois, you can sometimes experience all four seasons in a 24-hour time span. I also really liked the people, so I decided to make Atlanta my home.”

With almost 20 years in the mortgage industry, Williams likes to focus on the longer-term needs of his clients, stressing the importance of credit management. “I have had my share of clients with challenging credit, and they often don’t realize it until they apply for a mortgage how best to manage things going forward,” he says.

Outside of work, Williams enjoys bowling, fantasy football, and a good cigar. He also loves to travel and most recently spent time in Paris.
