
The Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta elects 2013-2014 officers and announces slate of upcoming events
The Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta recently elected new Executive Board and Committee members for its 2013-2014 season: Kevin Pritchett, president; Claire Hanson, executive vice president; James Gorsline, vice president of finance; Sally Parsonson, vice president of membership; Jason Maynard, vice president for programs; Rex Simms and Joy Simms, vice presidents for scholarships; Peter Parsonson, vice president for publicity; Mary Ann Wilson, recording secretary; and Carolyn Rich, parliamentarian. Jonathan Jarrell will serve as legal counsel.

Also, serving on the executive committee and on the board of trustees are past presidents and members-at-large Marilyn Dietrichs, Mary Ann Hill-Meehan, and Fay Selvage.

Committee chairs for the season: Holiday Gala, Saundra Minnich; Gala Silent Auction, Claire Hanson, Hugh James, and Bryan Freeman; Patrons' Circle Party, Hugh James; Hospitality, Claire Hanson; Amadeus Newsletter, Ingrid Hanson; Telephone, Betty Arden; and Web site, Gene Sanders.
Pro-Mozart Atlanta (www.MozartAtlanta.com) fosters classical music education and interest in the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (and other composers) through the presentation of concerts and other musical events, and nurtures and develops the talents of young musicians. Among other things, the organization presents an annual scholarship competition, which sends the winners to the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria to study during their summer session.
