Raising Chickens in the City: Symposium Scheduled
An exciting and educational day is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, at the Atlanta History Center.

ATLANTA, GA -- Anyone interested in learning about raising chickens in the city should probably put this event on their calendar.
The Chicks in the City Symposium is being hosted by The Wylde Center and the Atlanta History Center on Saturday, March 26, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Scheduled are an introduction to The Atlanta History Center’s own adventures in urban agriculture, lecture/workshops for beginning and advanced chicken keepers, poultry-related exhibition and vendor offerings, a Virtual Coop Tour, update sessions on state poultry support services and Avian Influenza, and Biosecurity demonstrations.

The day concludes with the Grand Finale drinks mixer with light hors d’oeuvres, chicken-themed silent auction, entertaining demonstrations by costumed Atlanta History Center staff and an Easter Egg Hunt.
