Revamped Dining in the Dark Fundraiser is Sept. 30th
Center for the Visually Impaired's annual fundraiser supports life-changing services and programs for those impacted by vision loss
Dining in the Dark is a unique fundraising event designed to entertain, inform, and promote understanding of vision loss through powerful sensory experiences. This yearβs event is newly designed to raise awareness of the two leading causes of visual impairment in the U.S., glaucoma and macular degeneration, in addition to total blindness. While enjoying a first-class meal and an entertaining experience, guests will also leave Dining in the Dark with a new appreciation for the achievements and abilities of our clients with vision loss, and the services and training provided by CVI that empower them to live with independence and dignity.
The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, located at 800 Spring Street NW. Festivities will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by a seated four-course meal beginning at 7 p.m.
CVI is the only nonprofit organization in Georgia that provides vision rehabilitation services and support to people of all ages. All funds raised through this event benefit CVIβs life changing services and programs for those impacted by vision loss.
