Rapper Accused of Threatening To Shoot Mall Security Guard

Officials with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended an Atlanta rapper wanted by Dunwoody police on charges he made terroristic threats to a security guard at Perimeter Mall.

The agency arrested 23-year-old Jeffrey Lamar Willliams, known as Young Thug, around 6 a.m. Wednesday at a home in Sandy Springs, said spokesperson James Joyner.
βHe was compliant and taken into custody without incident,β Joyner stated.

Police were dispatched to the mall on Ashford-Dunwoody Road just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 on a call of Williams allegedly threatening a guard.
According to an arrest warrant issued by Dunwoody police, Williams βthreatened to shoot the victim in the faceβ with the purpose of terrorizing the guard.
Williams is charged with one count of terroristic threats. As of noon, a search of DeKalb County Jail records indicate Williams has not been booked into the facility.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Young Thug grew up in the Sylvan Hills area of southwest Atlanta and is best known for his single, βStoner.β The newspaper also reports heβs a member of fellow rapper Gucci Maneβs record label, which is also based in Atlanta.
