Postal Worker Dumps Hundreds Of Letters On NJ Road, Then Quits

A postal worker in New Jersey found a new way to quit his job in style.

A South Jersey man posted a photo that's been shared more than 3,000 times showing hundreds of letters stuff in boxes that were dumped on the side of a road.

Kewnoneal Bennett said he posted the photo after the letters were found on the 3900 block of River Road in Pennsauken.

"If you're looking for your mail, it may be on River Road by the 36th station," Bennett wrote.

The mail, which was discovered Sunday, was dated Aug. 8. It was due for delivery from the Roxborough Station Post Office in Philadelphia, according to the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General.

The postal service does not plan to take any action against the postal worker, saying it learned that the individual resigned from the job on Sept. 8. The office had to track the mail carrier down first in order to discover that the employee quit.

The identity of the postal worker was not revealed.
