Is School in Session in Buckhead Today?

Fulton County’s students and teachers will have an extra day off due to the brutal winter conditions expected to persist in the area throughout Tuesday morning.

The school district announced the cancellation just after 9:30 Monday night, stating that the threat of icy roads prompted the decision. The temperature in Buckhead is expected to be around 30 degrees at bus pick-up time on Tuesday and is not expected to get above freezing until 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Although teachers and students do not have to report, 235 and 220-day employees must report to work by 11 a.m., the school district said.
