UPDATE: Security Guard Killed, Coworker Arrested

Atlanta police have arrested a man and charged him with murder for allegedly killing a coworker in Buckhead early Thursday morning.

Dexter Harper, 26, was one of two security guards on duty at Tower Place in the 3000 block of Peachtree Road at approximately 5 a.m. when shots rang out inside the building, Atlanta police spokesman Elizabeth Espy said. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the other security guard dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Espy said that Harper was detained, removed from the scene, and questioned by police, after which time a warrant was secured for his arrest.
